Its been about three years since Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune left Capcom to start his own company, Comcept, where hes recently been working on titles such as Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, Mighty No. 9, and KAIO: King of Pirates. Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z will be getting a downloadable costume upon its release on March 6th of next year, which is based on Nuigurumaa Z, an upcoming Japanese film that releases on January 20th.

Team Ninja has not abandoned the Ninja Gaiden franchise proper, as the studio is already thinking about the next entry in the series.

In a video featuring Team Ninja boss, Yosuke Hayashi, and Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z creator, Keiji Inafune, Hayashi confirmed that a more traditional Ninja Gaiden is coming, saying that "Team Ninja is thinking of the next Ninja Gaiden."

Team Ninja has confirmed that they're looking into development of a proper Ninja Gaiden after Yaiba.
